While cleaning my house last week I came across a list i’d made in 9th grade of favorite fun words, so that I’d remember to use them as often as possible, thereby innundating the PSHS word market with those specimens I found some odd sense of solace in. Right next to ‘ottomotopeia” with the same triple astricks and extra colorfully lettered-love was this fabulous gem: “sesquipedalian.” Oh, my – I might be blushing, I like it so much.
“Huh? A what – a Sasquatch-alien?”
No, not a Sasquatch-alien. Sesquipedalian. Duh…

Adjective. 1. Of words and expressions: of many syllables. 2. Given to using long words.”
Why, that doesn’t describe me at all; never. I can’t imagine why I’d even have listed it… Yes, yes you DO detect some sarcasm there.
