Now that the months good luck has been secured (see post title) we can move on to the purpose of this post which is to discuss OK Go’s Leno appearance last night.
Last month, your girl in music so benevolently shared with you OK Go’s official video for their cover of the original Muppet Show Theme song, which featured the bands collaboration with Jim Henson’s Muppets. Yesterday I announced the albums debut and early release digital wins and advised that my favorite Happy Artists OK Go would be appearing with a special secret guest to play their cover of the original Muppets Show Theme song. As we all know by now, the special guest was none other than ANIMAL (a muppet i had as a child and still have as an adult child) who KILLED IT on the skins (drums for the unhip).
Kermit the Frog weighed in with Music + Moxie this morning, but had to leave us a voicemail as we were busy outside, petitioning the gods to be crazy and restore irrational exuberance. Said the green one: “The Muppets have performed this song lots of times, but not like this. OK Go never does anything the way you’d expect it … Damian, Tim, Dan and Andy like to mix things up and get a little loopy. I think they were Muppets in a previous lifetime.”

Animal, we’re with you: ROCK AND ROLL, ROCK AND ROLL!!!
